CNC machine tools for processing the route and process sequence to determine

The toolpath is the path of the CNC machine tool relative to the workpiece throughout the machining process, which not only includes the content of the work step, but also reflects the sequence of the process. The tool path is also one of the main bases for programming. Therefore, CNC machine tool in determining the route to draw a process sketch, will have drawn out the route to draw up (including into, retreat route), so as to facilitate the programming, process sequence refers to the same process in the order of each surface processing. CNC machine tool has a direct impact on the processing quality of the part, processing efficiency and CNC machining of the tool route, should be based on the structural characteristics of the part and the processing requirements of the process and other reasonable arrangements. The division and arrangement of work steps can generally be carried out with the tool route, in determining the tool route, the main attention to the following points;

① for point processing of CNC machine tools such as drilling machines, milling machines, to consider as short as possible to shorten the route of the tool, in order to reduce the empty journey time, improve processing efficiency.

②In order to ensure the roughness of the workpiece contour surface after processing requirements, the final contour should be processed continuously by the sub-go tool.

③ tool in and out of the tool route must be carefully considered, to avoid as far as possible at the contour to stop the tool or vertical cut, cut out of the workpiece, so as to avoid leaving tool marks (cutting force occurred suddenly and caused by elastic deformation). In turning and milling parts, should try to avoid radial cutting in or cutting out as shown, but should be tangential cutting in or cutting out as shown, so that the surface roughness after processing is smaller.

④ milling contour of the processing route to be reasonably selected, generally use as shown in the figure of the three ways to go. Figure for the z-shaped both sides of the way to go, the figure for the single direction of the way to go, the figure for the circular way to go. In the milling of closed concave contour, the tool cutting into or out of the cutter is not allowed to extend, selected in the junction of the two sides, otherwise it will produce tool marks. To ensure surface quality, choose the toolpath shown in Figure 3-10.

⑤ Rotary type parts are generally processed using CNC lathes or CNC grinding machines, due to the turning parts of the blank is mostly bar stock or forgings. Machining allowance is large and uneven, therefore, the reasonable development of rough machining when the machining route, the programming is essential.
